Driven by the passion of authentic wines produced by equally passionate vintners, we created Séguin & Robillard/VINIFERA in 1990.

Since our modest beginnings, our goal was to share the knowledge about those marvelous craftmen who were making all those great wines which became " classics" and references to their specific appellations.

In 1987, we founded the Centre de Dégustation de Montréal with our longtime friend Noël Masseau. It was a wine club like no other: wine crazy members were meeting regularly to learn, understand and taste the best wines of the world. For a while, the club had more than 200 members. To taste wines from Burgundy, at the time unavailable in Québec, we had to go to the growers hoping to find some of the wines that made Burgundy so famous in the 18th, 19th and the first half of the 20th century. At the same time, a new generation of vintners was taking over from their parents with the clear intention of restoring the glory and the lost reputation of Burgundy wines in the 1960s and 70s.

Séguin & Robillard/Vinifera was born naturally, first to satisfy our own thirst for great wines of Burgundy and then to respond to the request of the club members who were discovering with us these outstanding wines produced by this band of young winemakers who put everything possible to make great authentic wines from the finest terroirs in Burgundy. Most of those tenants are now great friends. We were the privileged witnesses of this revival, and we invite you to appreciate these pages, to discover their work and the results of their efforts.
